Back in the early 90s one of Eleanor Burns' Quilt in a Day books was for an Amish quilt that did the same method, but using four strips of color to the backing and a right angle ruler to cut the triangles. I made a twin size in 'Amish colors' back then, and it was easy once you understood the method of cutting! Thanks for the tutorial, a good one to have on hand for the strips of scraps I'm collecting!

Tube Quilt. About This Tutorial Jenny Doan demonstrates the magic of tube sewing. It's fun, fast, easy, and makes various lovely quilting blocks. This video was inspired by an idea shared by one of our forum members.
There are a few different ways to make these diagonal quilt blocks…but by far my favorite method is this tube method below. Place the strip sets right sides together, matching the outer edges. Sew the strip sets together along both edges top and bottom in the photo below creating an enclosed tube.
