PS5 : Hideo Kojima's Essay Book to be translated into English in October 2021

The essay book of Hideo kojima arrive in the West translated into English this year. The North American publisher Viz, specializing in Japanese comics, anime and other imports of Japanese popular culture, launch The Creative Gene: How books, movies, and music inspired the creator of Death Stranding and Metal Gear Solid on October 12, 2021.

Kojima published the edition Japanese book in 2019 under the title The Gifted Gene and My Lovable Memes as a compilation of essays where he explores the inspirations that have shaped his work and his life. On the pages of the volume you can read reviews and opinions on music, books and movies featured by the Japanese author.

This English edition will also include a conversation between Kojima and Gen Hoshina, the musician and actor whose song Pop Virus appears on the extensive Death Stranding soundtrack. The publisher has not yet shown a official cover for the western version of the work. No translations into other languages ​​have been announced either.
